17 Dez in Food and drink, Hotel News, Things to do in Rogaska The beginning of a New Year has a certain meaning for each of us. It is not necessarily a turning point, because the times have changed and people celebrate New Year differently. Some think that things will remain the same as they are now, whilst others hope that the New Year will bring them some changes in their lives. But, all in all, New Year’s Eve has always had a special meaning to people. It does not matter how you consider the beginning of the New Year; it is a day in which you can take time for yourself and enjoy in a way you like most. At the Grand Hotel Rogaška, we have decided to celebrate it in a way that will combine tradition and glamour in our Crystal Hall, with the modern touch of excellent cuisine. This is going to be special, because this year we have welcomed our new chef; G. Gomes Calistus. He and his team will be more than happy to indulge you with the finest dishes, such as duo of oak smoked and marinated salmon served with melba toast, dill mustard sauce, then seared deer and veal medallions, caramelised garlic, balsamic shallots, potato-basil mash, green asparagus spears and mushroom sauce and many more fantastic in our five course menu. The culinary delight will continue with a buffet at midnight – not forgetting the midnight cake! Besides enjoying the excellently prepared dishes, you will also have the chance to enjoy some stunning music performances by Lucienne Lončina and her band; as she will be hosting the event. There will be many opportunities to dance, of course, and also to enjoy watching other professional dancers take to the floor, adding to the glamour of this event. There will be also a chance to see our spectacular fireworks display, which will be seen from the terrace of the hotel. All in all, it does not matter how you consider the beginning of the New Year; here at the Grand Hotel Rogaška we have prepared a splendid event, in which your mind will be free of the past, and the future, for that one special night.
